MFM is a community interest company educating around the damaging effects of clothing consumption and waste on people and planet.
Our company’s activities are to empower, connect and engage people in a movement that sees communities around Greater Manchester better understand the benefits of approaching fashion with a more sustainable outlook whilst helping them recognise the real impact of the fashion industry and the important role we play as individuals.
A grassroots movement, this MFM platform is here so we can work together; supporting the individual, the brands and policy makers to share learning and be catalysts for broader and transformative change.
MFM is collaborating with Quayside Shopping Centre, MediaCityUK, to take over a retail space for one year. The space will deliver a new concept in retail by collaborating with independent brands who have a focus on sustainability, with an inclusive studio space for exhibitions, performances, education and conversations.
MFM KIOSK will be brought to life, attracting new and existing footfall, reimagining the shopping experience, and engaging the local community with conversations around sustainability through an innovative retail approach.
Over the course of the year events; installations, exhibitions, and pop-up stores will take place allowing local and far-reaching communities in Greater Manchester and beyond the opportunity to discover purpose driven, independent brands. Learning about design, development, and the brand journey, bringing to life the true language and meaning of sustainability.
